Plasmatreat China:
New Business Premises in Shanghai

Business is booming in Shanghai. Today the metropolis is the commercial, financial and service centre of China and living conditions are considered to be the best in the whole country.

On 16 October Plasmatreat China opened its new business premises here in the Yalande Business R&D Park. The 40,000 m2 business park built exclusively for industrial, research and development activities is located in the midst of the Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park. The latter is referred to ever more frequently as China’s Silicon Valley in which Plasmatreat had already established a smaller presence two years ago in the building of the German Centre.

Plasmatreat China has been based in new premises in the Yalande Business R&D Park
in Shanghai since October.

Calvin Chen, Director of Plasmatreat’s Shanghai branch, and his team can now receive their customers in a building comprising office, laboratory and exhibition areas measuring 330 m2.
The R&D laboratory on its own measures 100 m2 and is specially fitted out for process applications. Equipped with various Openair® plasma installations, industrial robot systems and facilities for carrying out tests in adhesive bonding, printing and coating processes the new laboratory, however, serves not only for demonstrating the patented  Openair® plasma jet systems but also above all for carrying out trials and test series. Here, in collaboration with customers and application associates, the conversion of laboratory-scale pilots to industrial processes is evaluated.

By 2010 Shanghai is considered to become the leading centre in Asia and China’s door to the world. From the point of view of Christian Buske, President of the globally active Plasmatreat Group, the ideal local conditions of the new establishment are an important precondition for proximity to customers and for continuing his expansion strategy in one of the most important markets in the world for future economic growth.
