SAE 2007 World Congress: Plasmatreat Automotive Detroit debut

“Engineering for Global Sustainable Mobility – It's Up to Us”. That was the motto of this year’s SAE World Congress which took place from April 16 to 19 in Detroit, USA. For the first time Plasmatreat made an appearance at probably the world’s largest and most important automotive engineering conference held under the aegis of the SAE technical exhibition. The event organised by the Society of Automotive Engineers and regarded as a microcosm of the global automotive supply and development industry provided a platform for over 1,000 exhibitors and hosted 50,000 visitors from all over the world.

For Plasmatreat it was a double debut. Its Detroit sales office just opened at the start of the year also came into the limelight for the first time. The new establishment, Plasmatreat Automotive Detroit is managed by Larry Armbruster (US Automotive Market Sales Manager) who organised the exhibition stand and together with his North American Plasmatreat colleagues Wally Hansen (Los Angeles), Gerry Dziedzina (Chicago) and Tim Smith (Toronto) presented the Openair® and PlasmaPlus® technologies to a highly interested public.

As Larry Armbruster says, “Our primary aim was to show market presence and to publicise our brand. We are more than satisfied with the results. Potential business contacts from the ranks of OEMs, system suppliers and their subcontractors have exceeded all our expectations.” The vibrant interest displayed by visitors to the exhibition made it very clear that the new establishment has created the ideal conditions for serving the American automotive sector with innovative plasma technology and for fulfilling the high technical demands of this market.
