Are you working with Openair-Plasma® to modify surfaces or are you thinking about doing so? And are you interested in reliably testing the outcome of surface pretreatment?
Then, we have the right PlasmaTalk for you: With our cooperation partner KRÜSS, we will show you how to make the effects of the Openair-Plasma® pretreatment visible with a special measuring method, the KRÜSS MSA (Mobile Surface Analyzer).
Treatment with Openair-Plasma® brings about a targeted, site-selective change in surface properties, as the energy of the surface is increased. After treatment, you want to evaluate the outcome. Here you will learn how test inks work and why they are often not suitable. You will get the chance to discover how adhesion behavior can be predicted and how to measure the free surface energy of your product with the automated handheld KRÜSS MSA.
In this PlasmaTalk Andreas Liebert, Group Leader Application Technology at Plasmatreat Germany, will measure the surface free energy of three polymer samples both before and after the surface treatment process in the laboratory. He will be joined by Fred Fiddler, Technical Manager at KRÜSS North America, to explain and interpret the results using the KRÜSS state-of-the-art software, ADVANCE. Additionally, they will discuss contact angle measurements and the resulting surface free energy calculations that can be performed.
After attending the PlasmaTalk “How to evaluate the outcome of surface pretreatment with Openair-Plasma”, you will know more about:
This free of charge PlasmaTalk by Plasmatreat and KRÜSS is aimed to employees in development and laboratories who are using atmospheric plasma in industrial processes or want to start working with plasma.
The PlasmaTalk will run for approx. 40-60 min plus a question-and-answer session. If you have a specific request, please email us to academy@plasmatreat.com in advance of the PlasmaTalk so we can include it in the program.
