Plasmatreat North America: Three locations to serve your interests best for the USA, Canada and Central America
Plasmatreat North America (PTNA) is a subsidiary of Plasmatreat GmbH, headquartered in Steinhagen (Bielefeld), Germany. PTNA became one of the first subsidiaries abroad for Plasmatreat for the purpose of working with customers in the NAFTA region and has grown to three main offices and several satellite locations.
Elgin (IL)
In 2009 PTNA opened an office in Elgin, IL. Elgin, serving as PTNA’s North American headquarter. The office is conveniently located within 30 Minutes from O’Hare airport, right off I-90 Interstate. Under the guidance of PTNA’s Head of Finance & Administration, we coordinate all business operations. Additionally, we provide application development for clients in various industrial segments with a fully equipped lab operations.All three Plasmatreat North America locations offers a wide range of equipment and services including applications development support, laboratory test, contract manufacturing services and a rental fleet of Plasmatreat products.


Hayward (CA)
PTNA West is located in Hayward, CA (Silicon Valley) and serves as the North American R&D center. Under the guidance of PTNA’s Head of R&D, the local team focuses primarily on applications development for the electronics, medical device, aerospace and EV market. The lab and customer demo space is world class and houses the latest products of Plasmatreat as well as a line of test and analytics equipment.
Additionally, PTNA operates a Contract Manufacturing Service Center (formerly known as 4th State) where clients send in their parts for treatment in low pressure and open air plasma systems. The Hayward location is conveniently located to the airports of San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose.
Ancaster (ON)
PTNA was first established in the year 2000 in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada and moved in 2012 to a brand-new site in Ancaster, ON, where it continues to be the engineering development center for the North American market. Under the guidance of PTNA’s Chief Technology Officer, Plasmatreat coordinates all service and support, customization requests, local builds and working with customers on new Openair-Plasma® applications. The team is supported by excellent resources which include a full 6-axis robot to simulate advanced inline operations, as well as the full line of Plasmatreat products. PTNA staff in Ancaster focus on automotive, packaging and process oriented customers in food and medical, also supporting university research initiatives.
