News: Service team Plasmatreat North Americas
The Plasmatreat North America service employees are based in Hayward, California, and in Ancaster, Canada to cover the whole Northern American Region. To assist Plasmatreat’s customers, the service team is working close together, including working with the Sales team to maintain open communication with customers. Their main tasks include providing startup assistance, remote technical support, and on-site support for customers as required to keep systems running smoothly. The team, led by Engineering and Service Manager Colin Haluik, is also keeping the fleet of laboratory, contract services, and rental systems in good shape.

Christopher Chatman has completed certified training courses related to vacuum technology & maintenance and has over 20 years of field service experience in industries requiring this specialized knowledge. In April 2021, he achieved his 10-year anniversary as a Field Service Representative with Plasmatreat. Christopher enjoys solving challenges that present themselves with maintenance and retrofitting of plasma systems, as well as the interaction and development of relationships with our customers worldwide.

Graduating from Electronics Engineering Technology, Edmund Eng started working with plasma after completing his studies in 1993. Now a 17-year veteran, in 2004 he joined the Plasmatreat team with a strong background in electrical and field service work. Edmund enjoys helping Plasmatreat’s many customers in various industries. He has a long history of success resolving problems, effecting repairs, and completing system startups leaving customers happy.

Trung Nguyen has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from California State University. He has over 20 years of experience with vacuum and low-pressure equipment in industries ranging from automotive to semiconductor. Trung has been a part of the Plasmatreat family since 2017. He is working as a Field Service Representative and brings with him his passion for learning and strong experience servicing customer equipment.

Colin is a graduate of the University of Waterloo engineering program, with over 20 years of engineering experience in the defense and manufacturing industries. Colin joined Plasmatreat in 2017 and assumed the role of Engineering and Service Manager the following year. He enjoys learning about new Plasmatreat technologies, and about the wide variety of industries that work with Plasmatreat. Having the service team local in different locations enables Plasmatreat to respond quickly and reduce production downtime to a minimum.
