Plasmatreat North America (PTNA) is a subsidiary of Plasmatreat GmbH, headquartered in Steinhagen (Bielefeld), Germany. It became one of the first subsidiaries abroad for Plasmatreat for the purpose of working with customers in the NAFTA region.
Ancaster (ON)
PTNA was first established in the year 2000 in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. This location, which effectively Jan 1, 2012, has moved to a brand-new site in Ancaster, ON, continues to be the technical and applications development center for PTNA. Under the guidance of PTNA’s Vice President of Operations, Plasmatreat coordinates all service and support, customization requests, local builds and working with customers on new Openair applications. The team is supported by excellent resources which include a full 6-axis robot to simulate advanced inline operations, as well as the full line of Plasmatreat product. PTNA staff in Ancaster focus on automotive, packaging and process oriented customers in food and medical, also supporting university research initiatives.
Plasmatreat North America offer free initial laboratory tests, free evaluations of customers’ applications, and free 1 week rental of PT equipment at customer locations.
Belmont (CA)
PTNA California is located in Belmont, just north of Silicon Valley. The local team focuses on applications in the aerospace, solar and medical manufacturing market. In Belmont, PTNA has also established a working relationship with Plasma Technology Systems (PTS). PTS, since 1984, is a leader in the development, build and sale of low pressure, vacuum based plasma treatment systems. PTS also offers contract treatment services. Effective Aug 1, 2011, PTNA acquired 100% of the stock of PTS, which now functions as a full and independent subsidiary, but working out of the same location (10 Minutes south of San Francisco airport).
Elgin (IL)
In 2009 PTNA opened an office in Elgin, IL as well an outpost in Detroit, MI. Elgin is serving as PTNA’s North American headquarters and is conveniently located within 30 Minutes from O’Hare airport, right off I-90 Interstate. From Elgin we coordinate all marketing measures and in particular industry partner relationships. The Elgin location also features a fully fledged laboratory supported by business development and application experts in the medical field, consumer applications (wood, toys, windows, white goods).
