In industry, it is often a matter of permanently bonding different materials and components and protecting them from environmental influences. For this, primer with solvents is used as auxiliary materials for the processing of coatings or adhesives.  However, not only the incorrect disposal of solvents, but already their production, transport, storage and use lead to a negative impact on the global environment and on human health.

In this PlasmaTalk, Klaus Kresser, Global Market Segment Manager Bonding Applications at Plasmatreat, explains how PT-Bond transforms current bonding and pretreatment processes into solvent- and flash-free processes using PlasmaPlus® adhesion technology for different materials such as plastics, metal, glass. He will introduce PT-Bond technology and point out ways to transfer it for plastics and other substrates without the use of harmful additives.

After attending this PlasmaTalk, you will know more about:

  • Solutions to transform current bonding and pretreatment processes into solvent-free processes for plastics and other substrates
  • Overview of recent results in different industries where PT-Bond has opened up new possibilities
  • Outlook on future developments and trends of this technology
