Experience innovations up close! The cooperation between the machine manufacturer HAHN Automation and Plasmatreat offers new possibilities for surface treatment with the SmartSolutions PLASMA production cell. An all-in-one solution for plasma treatment of surfaces for small components or small series which gives maximum flexibility and safety.

Looking at a concrete application: To ensure precise dosing of medication with prefillable disposable syringes, the gliding properties of the plunger are crucial. For this purpose, the inner surface of the syringe plunger is sprayed with a fine, low friction silicone oil. Adhesion of the oil to plastics such as COC or COP is a challenge. Pretreatment of the surface with plasma activates it and thus ensures an optimum bond.

In this PlasmaTalk, Tanja Pawlenko, Junior Sales Manager at Plasmatreat, will present an insight in the plasma technology. Openair-Plasma® activation and cleaning of surfaces enable optimal conditions for subsequent processes. The integration of this technology in the SmartSolutions PLASMA production cell will be presented afterwards by Peter Faulhaber, Product Manager at HAHN Automation. In addition to the simple setup - without any prior knowledge - and the easy change of items, the high safety features offer further benefit for almost every manufacturing company.

This no-charge PlasmaTalk is aimed at research, development and quality control personnel as well as designers, process engineers and operators of production equipment in industrial processes.
