Visit Plasmatreat at Part2Clean in Stuttgart from 9 to 11 June – the leading international trade fair for industrial parts and surface cleaning – and experience live the power of atmospheric pressure plasma for microfine cleaning, strong activation and applying functional nanocoatings.
Visitors can see for themselves the triple action of a pretreatment with atmospheric plasma on an aluminum automotive component. Openair® plasma initially performs microfine cleaning and simultaneous locally selective activation in a 6-axis robotic cell. A nano-fine functional coating is then applied with the aid of PlasmaPlus® technology. This coating provides adhesives and sealants not only with a secure, stable substrate; it also affords a high degree of corrosion protection, especially for aluminum alloys. To demonstrate the process, plasma-coated and uncoated aluminum components housed in a glass chamber will be exposed to a continuous mist of water for the entire duration of the trade show.
If you wish to take a closer look at the ultra-fast Openair® plasma effect, you are welcome to test it on one of your own components. Using test inks, contact angle measurements or cleanliness measurements, you can determine the surface energy and degree of cleanliness of your component before and after atmospheric plasma treatment.
This year Plasmatreat has been invited to share a stand with business partner SLE electronic GmbH. Both companies provide environmentally friendly surface cleaning solutions which can be used in combination, for instance during coil coating. Whilst SLE uses high-pressure cleaning systems to remove coarse surface impurities from sheet metal, Plasmatreat's atmospheric pressure plasma system performs microfine cleaning and activation immediately prior to coating.
