Tim Smith, PTNA Vice President Operations (far left) welcomes his colleagues for the 2012 PTNA Sales Meeting at the new sales and technical center in Ancaster (Canada).
Plasmatreat North America (PTNA) offices have moved. The new premises are located in Ancaster, Ontario (CAN), about 45 miles west of Toronto/ Pearson International Airport and about 90 miles from Buffalo/Niagara Airport (USA).
This newly built sales and technical center features a total area of 6000 ft². It incorporates sales offices and a laboratory with Plasmatreat technology demonstrating the latest equipment for plasma cleaning, activation and coating. Here, clients from Canada, the USA, Mexico and South America can reach experienced application support for all questions concerning atmospheric pressure plasma. The facility is under the direction of PTNA Vice-President Operations Tim Smith. In addition to his sales functions and being the senior engineer, he is also managing maintenance, technical services, and spare parts support to all customer locations in North and South America.
Apart from the full range of generator models and plasma jet heads the new laboratory also incorporates cleaning, activating and polymerisation systems for the most various applications.
The new state-of-the-art laboratory invites Plasmatreat customers to experiment with all their surface modification and process testing needs. Working in close client collaboration, each pertinent plasma parameter necessary for manufacturing will be fully evaluated on site – to be followed by either a customer location visit from a plasma engineer or through the availability of rental systems at the customer plant. Plasmatreat North America offers free initial laboratory tests, material evaluations and expert advice regarding involved manufacturing processes, including a free one-week rental of equipment at customer locations for all qualified applications.
The Grand Opening of the new premises was combined with the annual PTNA Sales Meeting in October 2012. Christian Buske, CEO/President of the Plasmatreat Group (Germany), PTNA CEO/President Andy Stecher (Chicago, IL), along with vice presidents Tim Smith and Mikki Larner, all North American Plasmatreat sales staff and several guests were in attendance for the meeting and the festivities.
