Optimum surface activation for component compatibility and process efficiency in DIP-2K injection moulding

The increasing demands on the look, feel and function of plastic components require further development of multi-component injection moulding. The compatibility of different components is to be increased and the process efficiency optimised while at the same time conserving resources in production.

With the help of atmospheric pressure plasma technology, the compatibility of polymer materials will be expanded. All necessary process steps are to be greatly rationalised by newly developed procedures. The main focus is on optimal surface activation for component compatibility while increasing adhesion properties.

With the help of our cooperation partner, Kunststofftechnik Paderborn, we are bringing together the various competences of the fields of plasma and injection moulding technology.

The project is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
