Next generation: in-line process control of surface quality during the pretreatment of headlights

The use of plasma to pretreat the seal areas during the manufacture of headlight housings was one of Plasmatreat’s earliest applications and has long been regarded as “state-of-the-art”.

The automotive industry, however, demands ever more detailed control functions to allow every production stage to be effectively monitored.

The latest generation process control for pretreating headlights now enables surface quality to be monitored immediately after plasma treatment - resulting in a virtually seamless process control system which delivers consistently high quality to downstream process stages.
