Laminated cardboard and paper surfaces are designed to look appealing and sophisticated. But it is often difficult to reliably bond these attractive surfaces without using high-grade, expensive, and in some cases chemical adhesives. Atmospheric plasma is now an established means of pretreating adhesive surfaces, as it enables the use of water-based, environmentally friendly (harmless) adhesives. Throughput speeds of up to 500 m/min are routinely achieved for bonding folding boxes.
Trouble-free adhesion with plasma
With trouble-free adhesion of bonded joints guaranteed, it's easy to forget that this method is also very cost-effective.
