The INPRINT is the first exhibition devoted exclusively to the topic of printing in industrial processes. To demonstrate the enhanced surface wettability after treatment with plasma Plasmatreat has shown plasma live. Visitors to the exhibition had the possibility to treat their materials directly at the booth at the plasma station PS700 followed by printing the material on a second station. The system PS700 for pretreatment of flat materials allows for optimal conditions for among other things digital UV printing in record time.
The plasma treatment results of two rotating nozzles and achieves the following effects: Through activating the surface of the substrate the adhesion of the ink to the material gets improved so that e.g. the usage of wet chemistry can completely be replaced. Second, the luminosity of the ink gets intensified and allows a flawless gradient. This process is already in use in the printing of credit cards, garage door components or furniture panels.
