Technical cleanliness is becoming increasingly important in industrial manufacturing. Even the slightest contaminants can impair adhesion, cause coating defects, or affect the long-term stability of products. In addition to oils and greases, oxides, salts, and fingerprints are also increasingly coming into focus. These often invisible residues can significantly affect the quality of subsequent processes.

Openair-Plasma® has established itself as an efficient technology for removing organic contaminants and activating metal surfaces. However, in applications with high technical cleanliness requirements, activation alone is not always sufficient. Inorganic contaminants, in particular, can compromise process reliability even when the surface is clean and activated.

In this PlasmaTalk, you’ll learn how HydroPlasma® expands the capabilities of atmospheric plasma cleaning. By combining plasma with ionized water molecules, both organic and inorganic residues can be selectively removed. The result is technically clean metal surfaces that serve as the foundation for stable and reproducible manufacturing processes.

Topics of the PlasmaTalk

  • Technical cleanliness as the foundation of reliable manufacturing processes
  • Challenges posed by organic and inorganic contamination on metal surfaces
  • Openair-Plasma® for cleaning and activating surfaces
  • HydroPlasma® for removing oxides, salts, and fingerprints
  • Applications in bonding, coating, painting, and corrosion protection
  • Efficient and sustainable cleaning solutions for industrial production
  • The combination of Openair-Plasma®, HydroPlasma®, and PlasmaPlus® for comprehensive surface pretreatment

This free PlasmaTalk is aimed at employees in research, development, and quality assurance, as well as design engineers, process engineers, and plant operators.

The webinar offers practical insights and a live Q&A session in 40 to 60 minutes. Do you have specific questions? Please send them in advance to academy@plasmatreat.com; we’ll answer them live during the webinar.
