Fluorinated wax has long been the standard for skiing in order to achieve the best possible gliding performance. However, PFAS damages the environment and is now partially banned by laws and EU directives. Openair-Plasma technology allows for the sustainable processing of PFAS-free waxes. This technology cleans and activates the underside of the ski, heats the alternative wax, and ensures an even, long-lasting application. This maintains optimal skiing performance without the use of harmful substances and ensures maximum process stability.

The Swiss company Chip-ing AG is revolutionizing golf with GPS-trackable golf balls that can easily be located and recycled using an app. Chip-ing AG relies on open-air plasma technology from Plasmatreat during the manufacturing process to ensure reliable adhesion between the various materials used in the balls.
