测量表面能——等离子预处理的起点

每种材质都有特定的表面能，每一种液体（如墨水）也具有内在的张力。若要在印刷、粘合或镀膜过程中获得长效稳定的可靠附着力，材料的表面能必须高于液体的表面能。例如，塑料的表面能一般比较低（通常小于28 mN/m）。如需在这类塑料表面进行印刷，其表面能要达到40 mN/m（溶剂型油墨）或56 mN/m（UV固化系统）。但如果使用水性涂料系统，表面能必须高于72 mN/m。

在许多工业应用中，要让粘合剂或印刷油墨的特性与材料表面性质相匹配对整个工艺过程来说是至关重要的。采用常压等离子技术有针对性地进行预处理，可以大大提升表面张力，经过处理的材料能和油墨或粘合剂实现最佳的附着（润湿性）或粘合效果。

等离子处理之前：表面能低，接触角大 (α ＞ 90°)，表面张力约为 20 mN/m

等离子处理之后：表面能高，接触角小 (α ＜ 20°)，表面张力约为 60 mN/m
